About the Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and precise Wheel Alignment Specialist to join a trusted truck repair centre in Adelaide, SA. This is a key, hands-on role for a technician who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of safety and accuracy. You will be joining a supportive, down-to-earth team that values honest communication and high-quality service, working on a diverse range of vehicles including trucks, trailers, buses, 4WDs, and caravans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-alignment checks on steering and suspension systems.

  • Perform precise wheel alignments on a wide variety of heavy and light vehicles using tools such as Truck Cam, Josam, or Hunter.

  • Diagnose and repair/replace steering and suspension components (e.g., tie rods, ball joints).

  • Test drive vehicles post-alignment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Assist with general suspension repairs and other under body mechanical work as needed.

  • Maintain and calibrate alignment equipment to ensure accuracy.

  • Keep detailed records of alignment data and parts used.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Solid experience in wheel alignment, with a strong preference for heavy vehicle experience.

  • Deep understanding of steering geometry and suspension systems.

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent experience).

  • A current driver's licence is essential (HR preferred).

  • A forklift licence is advantageous but not required.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: An annual salary in the range of AUD $75,000 – $90,000, based on your specialist skills and experience.

  • Superannuation: 11.5% of your ordinary time earnings, which is scheduled to increase to 12% from 1 July 2025.

  • Annual Leave: 4 weeks of paid annual leave per year.

  • Sick & Carer's Leave: 10 days of paid personal/carer's leave per year.

  • Work Hours: Consistent work-life balance with standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:06 PM.
